Books for CONGRESS®

Congress [should] have at all times at command such authors on the law of Nations, treaties Negociations...it was observed that the want of this information was manifest in several important acts of Congress.


James Madison

In 1783, a Congressional Committee led by James Madison issued a report on a list of books to be used by Congress as reference materials.  Published 10 times a year (we take a July and August recess), “Books for CONGRESS®” magazine book reviews honor the same spirit of Madison’s original Congressional report by recommending high-quality nonfiction reading for policymakers and lifelong learners.
